Single handed
The club has a large section of single-handers for both cadets and adults.
The Tera is the single hander used by the youngest cadets and is an ideal boat to learn to sail in.
The topper is an ideal boat for cadets and adult beginners. Easily reefed when it's too windy it's a great way to learn to sail. It's not just for beginners! There's a very keen junior racing circuit and RYA Scotland supports it with class academies at clubs throughout Scotland and a Performance team comprising the best 8 or so topper sailors in Scotland
The laser (ILCA) laser fleet is the largest class in the club and there is a range of sail sizes that you can use to suit and age and size of sailor. There's loads of help at the club and we organise how to rig and training sessions for beginers These aren't just for the racers, it makes it much easier to sail it for fun as well and you'll be in a lot more control.
There are also other single-handers ranging from solos to skiffs and foiling Waszps.
The club, through TST, has Teras, Topper and lasers for use for social sailing evenings and training events at a nominal charge.
