Adult - learn to sail
Adult Learn to Sail Courses are now provided via Ancrum Outdoor Center from their base in the Sea Cadet Dock at City Quay. This is an ideal environment to take the first steps in learning to sail in a sheltered location. They can offer Level 1 (Beginner) and Level 2 (IBasic Skills) RYA courses and these provide the basic knowledge and competence to allow trainees to then make the transition to sail on the Tay having mastered the basic skills.
These internationally recognised courses give the students a "sailing license" they can use at centres all over the world to hire sailing boats.
The training section of the Royal Tay is then ideally placed to help the trainees take the next steps and a range of both courses and sailing opportunities are available at the club.
