RYA VHF Course

RYA VHF Marine Radio Short Range Course and Certificate .
Other dates can be arranged according to
demand.
This teaches the ability to operate a marine radio and the procedures required to use it.
It covers the basics of radio operation, frequencies, distress, urgency and medical assistance
procedures, making ship-to-shore calls, Digital Selective Calling, Global Marine Distress
Safety System.
The course is one full day (10 hours). A separate examination is required to obtain the
lifetime licence.
Course fee £70 inclusive of RYA booklet.
