TEWSH Tay Hub Day

This event is intended to showcase the different watersports and clubs which use the Tay
Estuary. It will be more of a gathering than a competitive event. It is hoped that the day
will attract media and public interest.

Each club will have a shore display by the Urban Beach (to the east of the V&A). Set-up
from 1130, clear-up 1530.

Participants will leave their home clubs and sail (or row) in company to the muster point to
the east of the V&A.

There is no fee for taking part, but participants have to be registered to receive sailing
instructions and further details.

The outline programme is:
1115 fleets depart from different clubs
1200 muster off the V&A ...... keel boats anchor
1200 noon safety boat parade followed by RNLI demonstration
1230 event one - skiff parade then race to Tesco and back
1245 event two - Tayside Kayak Club parade and paddle in company up riverside
1315 event three - Fast boats race starts
1320 event four - Slower boats race starts
ASAP event five - Fast boats second start
ASAP event six - Slower boats second start
1415 event seven - open water swim TBC
1445 Old Gaffers Association - parade down riverside
1515 Followed by Tay keel boats, and dinghies who then depart for their home clubs
