the Lawson Cup is back!

Call to compete in the Lawson Cup: This Sunday, as part of the Winter Series, the Lawson Cup all classes trophy race will be held. One race only, all handicaps included, the winner takes the cup, which will be handed out on the annual Prize Giving Ceremony on November 21st. The Lawson Cup has not been awarded since 2019, and we are very proud to reintroduce this prestigious trophy. It was for many years competed for during the Tay week, where as many as 100 various sail craft would enter: the start line was regularly extended to the Newcome! Notable holders of the cup are 'Bluebottle' HRH Princess Elizabeth HRH The Duke of Edinburgh' (1951) and it was last awarded in 2019 to M & D Worsley. Register timely and see you on Sunday!
