As you all may know I am taking part in the Talisker Atlantic Challenge in 2025 as part of my team, Scotland the Wave. The team is made up of rowers from Cromarty, Broughty Ferry and Glasgow. The main purpose of the event is to raise funds for our 4 deserving charities: RNLI Scotland, Breast Cancer UK, SCAA (Scottish charity air ambulance) and SIMBA (Simpson Memory Box appeal)

As a team we are organising a series of fund-raising events across the country and we would like to invite you, as members of RTYC and our rowing Section Broughty Boating along.

On Saturday 9th September we are hosting a Race Night at Race night at Broughty Castle Bowing Club starting at 7:30pm. The venue is on King St. just across from the Castle. Entry is £5 per person. Horses can be purchased and named for £3, there are five races in total with eight horses within each race. Part of the fun will be a Raffle and a Grey goose coin roll. You can add to the fun by bringing a raffle prize with you on the night.

If you cant make it along you can still support the event by buying a horse or donating a Raffle prize. Please contact Nicky on 07725418684 or Gabriel 0748469130 if you want to do this.

On Saturday 28th October we are holding a Black-Tie Gala, this is being held at Alea Casino in Glasgow. The cost is £35 per ticket. This includes a three-course meal and dancing the night away with music from a local DJ. There will be an auction and a raffle. Tables are set up for groups of eight or ten. Tickets can be purchased/ book with Nicky or Gabriel.
