Sailing Afternoon

On Tuesday afternoon 15th August 5 squibs and 5 keelboats were out on the river for race no. 9 of the 2023 Keel & Squib 'Tuesday Series'. It was a lovely afternoon with a decent easterly wind and so the course was L, P, D, K, Z and home. The leading squib, once again, was Zigzag, with Gordon Crosby & Ian Bancroft on board. The first keelboat home (and winning keel on corrected time) was Fidlers 3 skippered by Dave McCreadie and crewed by Jim Grogan and George Skinner. Both of these boats have done well throughout the summer series, but thanks go to all the boats, skippers and crews who participated and made it enjoyable and comradely. Sadly our summer sailing is drawing to a close with one more race scheduled for 29th Aug; soon the squibs will be heading back into the Harbour Shed.
