RTYC Safety Boat Crewing - Are You Interested In Getting Involved?

Like many sporting clubs, much of its activities would not be possible without the assistance of volunteers and RTYC is no different. One very important area which relies solely on volunteers is the provision of safety cover for all the many events held on the water. Racing on Tuesday evenings, cadets on Wednesday evenings, social sailing on Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings along with some Trophy races and Open events at weekends.

We are always looking for more volunteers to assist both afloat and onshore and if you fancy getting involved but are not sure what it all entails or if it is something that you are not sure you would enjoy, why not drop an email to the club secretary?

Once they receive contact, they will then get back in touch and make arrangements to get you involved in all that goes on. 'On The Job' Training will be given and if it turns out to be something that you enjoy and want to become more involved in longer-term then formal training is possible.

We can provide training right from Power Boat Level 2 and Safety Boat through to becoming an RYA Power Boat Instructor and beyond.
